Finding Halal Food in Russia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finding halal food inRussia seems not to be a problem. Kebab is considered to be the safest optionfor Moslems visiting the country for the World Cup 2018 event.

"Many vendors sold kebab here, theyalso display the halal logo so it is safe for Moslems," said Mohd IzzaOmar from, young football coach from Brunei on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.

Izza came to Moscow with his young playersto compete in the Gazprom Football for Friendship, a mini-tournament ahead ofthe World Cup for youngsters from 211 countries held as an opening for theWorld Cup event.

Izza said that it is not hard to find halalfood in Moscow. Many food vendors can be found in crowd centers. "They puton the halal logo not using Russian language, so we immediatelyunderstand," Izza said.
